A Spirit-Filled Weekend of Ministry and Fellowship
What an eventful and spirit-filled weekend it has been! Following the Sunday service concluding a powerful three-day ministry event hosted by IEC in Tacoma, Washington, my co-servant in our Lord Jesus, Mr. Surleigh Tara, and I had the opportunity to visit the KSA Seattle Church in Kent, Washington. Brother Surleigh had been invited by the church leadership to share a message.
While there, we learned that a Chuukese church fellowship also meets in the same building, holding their service in the Fellowship Hall. Though we had not planned to attend, we were led to join the Chuukese service before transitioning to the Kosraean service. By God’s grace, I was humbled to be given the unexpected opportunity to share a message during the Chuukese service. The church group is from Foupo, Tol, of Chuuk State. I give special thanks to Pastor Riak and the leadership for allowing me to minister and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ among them.
After the Chuukese service, we joined the KSA Seattle Church where Brother Surleigh delivered a powerful message. We are grateful to the church leadership for warmly welcoming us. Special thanks to Pastor Jacob Luey and Nipastu Charlene Selina for the kind dinner fellowship after the service.
This experience reminded me of 2 Timothy 4:2:
“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.”
Indeed, we are called to proclaim the Gospel at all times—planned or unplanned, convenient or not. May we, as followers of Christ, always be ready and willing to share the message of salvation that brings life.
