Easter Retreat
“For the Message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us woh are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)
The MOMUSA and ANCF ministries went on a three day Easter Retreat weekend in Ramona, California. The event began on Good Friday with a welcoming dinner, followed by an evening worship service. On Saturday, the speakers took us in-depth into the significance of the shameful method of execution, the Roman Cross, and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The event concluded on Easter Sunday.
Because of sin that entered the world through the disobedience of one man, death entered into the world, and spread to all men because all sinned, Romans 5:12. Nothing unrighteous is acceptable into heaven and the Bible clarifies that no one is righteous.
Hence, in order to enter, we need to be justified and be found righteous before the holy and righteous God. God loves us so much and provided us a way back to Himself, to restore that fellowship we once had with Him by sending His Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty of sin for us on the Cross of Calvary. Jesus willingly accepted that offer to satisfy the desire of His Father and gave up His life through the most shameful and brutal form of execution, the Roman Cross. He sacrificed His life in order that we might be found righteous before God and have the hope of eternal life. “Therefore, since we have been justified, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus,” (Romans 5:1).
